What we tested and how

Where the differences actually show up

The real separation happened on the longer stretches of narration, where a few tools started to develop a subtle, repetitive rhythm that became noticeable after twenty or thirty seconds, even though no single sentence sounded wrong on its own. Cost adds up faster than the demo suggests

Voice tools are usually priced by character count or by minutes of generated audio, and it's easy to underestimate how quickly that adds up once you're producing anything regularly. A single re-generation to fix one mispronounced word counts the same as generating the whole clip from scratch on most platforms, and if you're iterating to get delivery exactly right, that cost compounds fast compared to what the advertised per-minute rate implies.
